Symposium

The scope of the 5th International Simuliidae Symposium is to continue in the good tradition of the previous successful symposia focusing on diverse blackfly research performed in any part of the world. Thus presentations of any aspect dealing with Simuliidae are welcome. All blackfly researchers and enthusiasts are invited!

Symposium schedule

Monday (3rd September) – p.m. registration, in the evening welcome party

Tuesday (4th September) – registration, presentations, in the evening visit of a traditional wine cellar with wine tasting (and eating...)

Wednesday (5th September) – whole day field excursion concerning on important blackfly breeding places in the surroundings of Bratislava, visiting of various river habitats of the Danube

Thursday (6th September) – presentations, in the evening gala dinner

Friday (7th September) – a.m. presentations, end of the symposium

Important deadlines

registration: until 15th June 2012

abstract submission: until 31st July 2012

Symposium fee

The symposium fee is 150 Euro and includes abstracts, cofee breaks, welcome party, visit of wine cellar and wine tasting, field excursion with lunch, gala dinner. It should be paid either directly at the registration or before the symposium to this bank account.

The fee for accompanying person is 90 Euro (includes excursion, wine cellar, gala dinner, welcome party).
